Books
Good Books
Shown below is a range of books on mindfulness, meditation, and self-compassion. I have started with entry level books for those new to mindfulness and meditation. I have also created web-site links to the relevant website where applicable. If you are very new to mindfulness, then “Mindfulness a Practical Guide by Williams and Penman is probably the best place to start – it comes with a free CD. Authoritative authors in the area: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mark Williams, John Teasdale and Zindel Segal for the application to stress and mental health problems. These books are all a good place to start. Eric Harrison a local Perth meditation and mindfulness teacher has also written some excellent books and produced practice CDs. Finally, mindfulness can be challenging so it is best for those wishing to learn mindfulness to find an experienced and qualified mindfulness therapist/teacher to assist them with their learning journey.
